We made our booking as part of a BA Flight & Hotel package. The hotel was everything we'd hoped for from its description and we were delighted with our room, the service we received and the wonderful breakfast! We would certainly be confident in booking a Leonardo Hotel again.

The only disappointment on this stay was the breakfast table availability. The tables were not cleaned up and re-set in a timely fashion. One very pleasant young lady seemed to be the only one in the dinning area. Due to the number of people needing help with coffee and other things she was not able to attend to our needs. Most of the tables needed to be cleaned and reset when we arrived for breakfast about 9AM. We did not receive our newspaper and it is not completely clear why this happened either.

Ich war mit der Schallisolierung der Balkontüre sehr beeindruckt. Die auf dem Wandbild mit Erläuterungen über Paul Karrer angekündigte Kopie der Neuen Zürcher Zeitung aus dem Jahre 1937 war leider nicht im Zimmer aufzufinden.

Schade, dass ständig das Personal gewechselt wird. Es kommt keine Vertrautheit auf. Ich komme bereits seit 2003 beinahe monatlich, oft wöchentlich. Es wird in den letzten beiden Jahren immer unpersönlicher. Bei Check-In waren meine Daten (seit 2003 bekannt) verschwunden, Meldezettel musste ausgefüllt werden. Im Zimmer kein Flaschenöffner; Fernsehzeitschrift älter als zwei Wochen, also nicht aktuell; Jalousinen waren bei meiner Ankunft unten, da ich sie nicht nach oben "kurbeln" wollte, blieb das auch so(keiner dieser drei "kleinen" Mängel viel während der Tage meines Aufenthalts nicht auf. Speisen im Restaurant sehr gut, aber trauriges Ambiente, wenn man während zwei Tagen der einzige Restaurantgast ist (stimmt einen nachdenklich. Wenn man öfter kommt kennt man die Speisekarte auswendig und wird gezwungen in ein andere Lokal essen zu gehen, um nicht immer die gleichen Speisen zu essen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen W. Hawla

I did complete a form when I left the hotel. One thing I commented on was that most of our hotels during our trip to Italy , France and Switzerland had free wifi , even the more basic hotels had this feature and yet a more expensive hotel charges for this. It seems a bit stingy on your part in this day and age. Otherwise we liked the hotel and decor was very inspired, well done.

Leider hatte die Receptionistin nicht gewusst, dass abgemacht wurde, dass das Zimmer nicht vor Ort bezahlt wird, sondern eine Rechnung an eine vorher kommunizierte Adresse gesandt wird. Vielen Dank für Sie uns die Rechnung sobald als möglich zukommen lassen könnten.

1. The reception manager (male) was superb - nothing was too much trouble. 2. Breakfast waitress was very obliging but didn't check the small details (ie temperature of coffee and milk was lukewarm even when 'hot' was asked for). 3. A very good burger was spoiled by the application of far too much mayonnaise.

I stayed in the hotel from September 11 to 15, 2012. I had known it from before, this was my fourth or fifth stay. The hotel is okay, though it would need some redecorating, sooner rather than later. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My major problem during the stay was that it was impossible to get access to the internet: the wireless service was down all throught the week, and although I alerted the service provider ibahn on Tuesday night, no progress was made during my stay. The two computers in the basement +business center" were permanetly busy, so they didn't offer a solution either. I experienced a similar (though shorter) glitch during one of my earlier visits, so my impression is that the hotel does not fully understand that access to the internet is an integral part of hosting guests, especially in an establishment catering, among others, for the visitors of ETH. I am sorry to say that, although I am a regular visitor to Zurich, next time I will try another hotel in the vicinity of ETH.
