Press Release: The Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin gains Certified Conference Hotel and Certified Business Hotel accreditation!
Berlin, August 2010 – Conference facilities covering 1,000 sqm, a ballroom for up to 700 people and drive-in exhibition vehicles, 10 flexibly designed meeting rooms with multimedia equipment, an exclusive VIP lounge, a spa area for relaxation and, as required, a professional events team to lend a hand with planning, preparing and running functions – the Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin’s unique incentive concept has proved its worth: this 4-star superior hotel, close to the Alexanderplatz has now been officially recognised as both a Certified Conference Hotel and a Certified Business Hotel.
The hotel was tested in 7 categories during a three-month audit process. The test criteria included the hotel having its own professional conference section with appropriate equipment, the availability of information material, a standardised procedure for processing quotations within 24 hours, professional F&B services specifically for the conference area, comprehensive event support with a central point of contact, a transparent billing process plus facilities and services tailored to the needs of business travellers (e.g. mobile phone coverage, Internet access, TV with a news channel and a work space in the bedrooms). Daniel Roger, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels Germany, explains: “We are proud to have passed this test. For event planners and business travellers such awards provide a more transparent overview of the products and services available, thus taking away a significant workload and enabling them to book with greater confidence. We are therefore planning to have other Leonardo Hotels, first and foremost the Leonardo Royal Hotel Munich that opens in 2011, accredited as a Certified Conference / Certified Business Hotel.”
With 346 bedrooms, including suites, the ‘Vitruv’ restaurant and ‘Leo90’ bar and lounge, the 4-star superior Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin is located in the immediate vicinity of the famous Alexanderplatz.
