Royal Berlin Opening
Press Release Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin: Exclusive charity gala dinner to celebrate the opening of the new superior flagship hotel in the capital
Berlin, 11. September 2009
– On the occasion of the official opening ceremony (9 September) of the new four star Superior Hotel “Leonardo Royal” situated on Otto-Braun-Straße, David Fattal (CEO of Fattal/Leonardo Hotels) presented a cheque for €5,000 for the Jewish Hospital in Berlin to Lala Süsskind, President of the Jewish Community of Berlin, in the presence of the German Health Minister, Ulla Schmidt. More than 600 invited guests attended the gala dinner at the 346-room

, situated close to Alexanderplatz. The guests included the actors Robert Atzorn, Helmut Zierl, Anja Kruse, Mariella Gräfin von Faber-Castell, Dieter Landuris and Gerit Kling. Hotel director, Gabriele Maessen, is delighted at the positive feedback he received from the guests on every floor of the hotel who were treated to a selection of culinary delights. Daniel Roger, Director at Leonardo Hotel Europe, is proud of the initiative in Berlin: “The Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin not only represents the first hotel of the exclusive Royal brand but is the new “flagship of our hotel chain”. The new hotel was designed by the internationally renowned interior designer, Andreas Neudahm. With the opening of the Royal, Leonardo Hotels now operates four hotels in Berlin. Leonardo Hotels is the European division of Fattal Hotels, which was founded in 1998 by David Fattal. Leonardo Hotels has been operating on the German market since 2007 and currently runs more than 60 hotels in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Israel. It will also be opening hotels at other attractive locations in Europe in the near future. The company management is based in Berlin.
