Zurich, November 2009 – An important day: 9 November - After a complete facelift under the management of the internationally renowned interior designer Andreas Neudahm, we are proud to present the former Bauhaus restaurant of the Leonardo Hotel Rigihof Zürich with a totally new look, under the name VITRUV restaurant and bar. As Andreas Neudahm underlines: "Our objective was to give a more harmonious feel to the linear Bauhaus style, through a new, warm concept of colour and design. For this reason we focused on creating an appealing, modern yet cosy setting." In order to meet the motto of Leonardo Hotels "The Art to Feel at Home", the new restaurant and the bar & lounge now entice guests with well-matched, modern tones, elegant designer furniture and an attractive assortment of dishes. This should be a place where guests from far and wide can relax and feel at ease. Whether at breakfast time, midday, supper, for an appetizer or simply a snack - the new VITRUV restaurant spoils hotel guests as well as all other gourmets and connoisseurs with fresh, seasonal dishes of both Swiss and international fame.

The four-star hotel was built in 1931 in the Bauhaus style and stands out above all due to its functional construction, clear lines, bold colours and light guest rooms. Andrea Melzow, General Manager of the Leonardo Hotel Rigihof explains: "The special feature about the hotel lies in the fact that each of the 67 rooms is dedicated to a famous resident of Zurich. The life and works of people including Gottfried Keller, Max Frisch, Albert Einstein or Johanna Spyri can be admired on oversized wall paintings and give each room its very own character." For meetings, there is also a modern banquet and meeting room, fitted with event technology equipment. The convenient location of the Leonardo Hotel Rigihof for the major business locations and tourist attractions in Zurich make the hotel an ideal accommodation for business and leisure travellers alike.
