Press Release: A constant quest for improvement – Numerous innovations at Leonardo Hotels



Europe, July 2010 - An exciting rebranding of the Leonardo Hotel Rigihof Zurich, yet another new opening in Munich, the new Leonardo Suites brand, new management in Hamburg, Cologne and Wavre and an unbeatable rewards programme for loyal customers: continuous improvement and investment, to make a stay at one of the more than 60 Leonardo Hotels in Europe as pleasant as possible, is our primary mission. That is why Leonardo Hotels are providing information on the numerous changes and surprising news before the summer break.

“Boutique” is the Leonardo Hotels' brand for smaller properties with the personal touch and modern interior design. Following in the footsteps of the hotels in Tel Aviv and Munich, the Leonardo Hotel Rigihof Zürich is now being rebranded as the third “Boutique Hotel”. The Bauhaus residence, steeped in tradition, offers not only its own distinctive charm but also a stylishly confident decor in warm colours. A home away from home in an artistic setting combined with creature comforts and a distinctive atmosphere.

There is a particular sense of anticipation for the Leonardo Royal Hotel Munich, currently under construction. The 4-star Superior Hotel with around 1,800 m² of conference rooms, VIP lounge, Davidoff smokers' lounge as well as sauna & fitness area will be the chain's second “Royal” and is scheduled to open in January 2011. Guests can look forward to a unique design and the ultimate in comfort. It will certainly cater for every conceivable wish. The Leonardo Hotel Köln will also soon be unveiled in a new look & design. Since June 7th, rooms and the lobby have been undergoing a soft facelift under the direction of renowned hotel interior designer Andreas Neudahm. There is a further innovation for all business travellers in the Leonardo Hotel Berlin. A dedicated multi-functional meeting room will soon ensure carefree and successful meetings.

For everyone who has ever dreamed of living where others spend their holiday, Leonardo Hotels has a surprise in store this year with a new highlight. The first property of the Leonardo “Suites” brand will open in Berlin at the end of the year, the name for hotels specialised in long-term accommodation.

The new Leonardo Advantage Club loyalty program on the other hand means that guests benefit doubly from each stay. For members of the “Leonardo AdvantageCLUB”, every Euro spent on the price of an overnight stay is credited to a points account. In addition to numerous benefits such as a 250 point initial reward or simpler, faster hotel bookings, guests can quickly accumulate enough points to enjoy a free stay at any Leonardo Hotel throughout Europe.

There is also in-house news to report. From mid-June, Mr Martin Duc Luong (31), Ms Gesa Rix (45) and Mr Dimitrio Virone (31) will be reinforcing the Leonardo Hotels team as new General Managers in Cologne, Hamburg and Wavre, constantly helping to improve Leonardo Hotels on the ground with their excellent know-how. There will also be fast, friendly, simple and competent advice when booking the Leonardo Hotel & Residenz Leipzig: because with immediate effect, the 4-star hotel in the south of Leipzig will be marketed via the Leonardo Sale Channels.
