when I had a reservation on the 16th May, you gave my room away and I was moved to another hotel. I incurred €40 extra taxi fares during my stay. Also all my colleagues were at the Mercure. On this last trip I saw 4 other people that you did this too. This makes me very nervous of booking your ...

On this last trip I saw 4 other people that you did this too. This makes me very nervous of booking your hotel in the future. If I have a reservation, i want the room to be there even if I am late. I will have made my other arrangements around being at that hotel.

A nice looking hotel with excellent, friendly staff. Only staff issue was that I specifically asked for a quiet room when checking in but was placed on a lower floor next to the elevator and I was disturbed by guests coming off the elevator and talking loudly in the hallway late at night. Staff ...

A nice looking hotel with excellent, friendly staff. Only staff issue was that I specifically asked for a quiet room when checking in but was placed on a lower floor next to the elevator and I was disturbed by guests coming off the elevator and talking loudly in the hallway late at night. Staff should know that a room by the elevator and on a lower floor is not typically a very quiet room. Perhaps no other room was available but this was not mentioned to me. I was also very disappointed with the following aspects: Exercise/workout/fitness room had no lights on or power to treadmills early in the morning (~6:00). The operating hours were nowhere stated - not by fitness room nor in hotel information binder. My room card opened the door but there was no way to use the equipment without power. Fitness room should be open 24 hr or at least start at 5:00. Morning exercise is important to many travelers. Air conditioning in guest rooms is only available July and August. This is a major deterent for many North American travelers. Certainly the temperature is high enough for cooling often earlier and later in the year. Opening the window at night was a poor option due to noise. The restaurant food at dinner was much worse than experienced during previous stays at this hotel. Still high-priced but now poor quality. Four people at our dinner table. Each ordered a different starter and entree. Only one person enjoyed his meal.
