Die Dusche in unserem Zimmer war defekt, dies hat die Qualität des Aufenthaltes nachhaltig beeinträchtigt, auch wenn der Rest o.k. war. Halbwegs aufmerksames Personal hätte diesen Schaden bemerken können, die Entschädigung war mit 10,00 Euro einfach zu wenig.

Wir waren mit einem Animod-Gutschein für 69,00 € für eine Nacht in Ihrem Haus. Ihr Frühstück wurde als Schlemmerbüffet angekündigt. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr karg, das Büffet war 30 Min. vor Ende sehr abgeräumt, nicht ein einziges Körnerbrötchen oder Körnerbrot. Den Kaffee haben wir aus drei verschiedenen Kannen zusammengesucht. Das Treppenhaus und die Böden, besonders der abgenutzte Teppichboden im Zimmer, entsprachen nicht einem angeblichen Drei-Sterne-Hotel. Die Klimaanlage machte Geräusche, kühlte aber nicht. Wir konnten leider auch kein Fenster öffnen, weil im Nachbarlokal eine Latin-Party im Hof stattfand (was ok ist, wenn man mitten in der Stadt wohnt). Trotzdem wollen wir nicht zu laut klagen, weil das Personal supernett war und letztlich der Preis annehmbar.

I requested an extra pillow when I arrived. The hotel representative told me that this would be provided. When I returned to the room later in the evening, no extra pillow was provided. I called the front desk. When no one answered, I left my room, came down the stairs, found a representative and then asked for an extra pillow. The representative was very courteous. He promised to check into this and call me within ten minutes. Within ten minutes he called me back stating that the hotel had no extra pillows. What hotel has no extra pillows!! Also, my room had an unusual odor. I also recommend that you drop the ridiculously expensive internet charge and offer this as a courtesy to your guests without charge. I realize that you do offer free internet in the main lobby. However, due to significant college age guests, it was frequently occupied when I attempted to use it. Unfortuntely, my work will not cover the cost of paid internet. Generally, most German hotels that I have stayed in within your price range/category offer free internet. Throughout my stay, your staff was very courteous. I just thought you should know about the issues above.

Location near hauptbahnhof convient BUT noisy. Lots of people watching the football on TV in the street below our room. The noise continued until about 5.00am.

I’m a business traveller, and I have travelled and stayed for long durations in many hotels across various countries before. Never had I such a bad experience. To list my specific concerns, here are a few: I booked the hotel for 28 nights. For business reasons, I wanted to cancel only 1 night of stay (as I had to travel to a different city, and stay overnight there). My request was straightaway rejected in a very unfriendly way by the staff and I was made to pay the night’s rent, although I did not stay. I’m aware of the policies, however I felt that for such a long booking, if the hotel is not exhibiting flexibility for only one night, it makes no sense to consider this hotel for any business purposes. During check-out I observed that the hotel has charged me 83 EUR extra, without any reasons. Upon inspection of the invoice I observed that they have charged me 24 EUR for breakfast and laundry which I never used. The staff then returned back 24 EUR to my card, but the additional 59 EUR is still disputed. Nowhere in the invoice anything is mentioned, but the hotel had charged the card without my notice. The staff was totally incompetent, and was not able to help me with the situation. The only thing she told that the hotel manager will try to sort this out sometime in the next week (and I have to deal with this over telephone). The overall experience was quite frustrating. The room provided to me for such a long stay was barely a room. It was a cramped up compartment. And to top it up, the housekeeping staff did not had the basic sense of any service. After requesting for 2 – 3 days, I was provided with a coffee/ tea maker (which was advertised as a standard facility), but without any cups or sugar packets etc. These are small things, but does add up to the inconvenience levels. Overall, I’m still waiting for my invoice dispute to be resolved and hoping that 59 EUR will be returned back to me. With my present experience level, I would strongly discourage any of my IBM colleagues to book in Leonardo in Frankfurt. There are other IBM approved hotels available in that city.
