We have stayed at this hotel many times when it was a Holiday Inn and I am disappointed that all the loyalty points I have accrued cannot be used at the Leonardo now it has changed management. I appreciate it is also early days under Leonardo but I have noticed that there are subtle changes such as the supplies in rooms are not as well stocked as before - we only had one toilet roll and no spare plus drinks facilities only allow for one drink. However, on informing the staff that we only had one toilet roll a member of the team went straight to our room and gave us a new supply. Plus there was only one duvet for two people on a large bed - this is not enough. Fortunately there was a spare in the drawer but we had to ask for a cover for it.
The rooms have always been too warm, even with the windows open. You do have climate control but we do not like to run this all night - the duvets you supply are too heavy for any time of year - this is a good opportunity to change them to a lighter weight.
We are glad you have retained some of your old staff, i.e. Martin who seems to almost single-handedly run the bar and restaurant in the evenings. He is a member of staff to be commended for his attentiveness and friendly manner to everyone he deals with no matter what their demands. When we visited your Reception Staff were very friendly and dealt with us quickly. On the evening of 14th September we were enjoying a drink at the bar when a team of your external staff arrived and started drilling holes in the walls to put pictures up! This was not particularly good as it was gone 8pm and we could even hear them drilling in our room (403) which was some distance away from main Reception.
Of course we will always come back here as it suits our travel needs and we are well known here.
